What are the CS Games and why should I participate?
You can read all about it here. You might want to check out the invitation packages and what happened last year too.

How many / which teams are registered?
Check it out here. Keep in mind that we're only accepting at most 34 teams... register soon to guarantee your spot!

There are already 2 teams from my school registered, can you get me in touch with their captains to see if there's any room for me on their team?
We'll gladly forward your request to the team captains, but we can't disclose their contact information. Send us an email at info@csgames.org

Our University wants to send a third team!
We'd be glad to welcome a third team from your University, but first, we've got to give everyone a chance! Drop us an email at info@csgames.org to get on the waiting list, and by February 5th, if we have not yet reached our capacity, we'll go ahead and register your team. This will be based on a FIFO principle!

What kind of CS challenges are we talking about? What sports are we doing this year? I want to know if we should bring our local CS volley ball / ping pong / Quake champion!
The competitions are listed here, and more details can be found on the forum.

I've got to figure out my transportation timing: when is everything taking place?
The schedule is posted here; we might rearrange some of the events around, but not the start nor the end of the games.

We've got cheerleaders, coaches, chaperones, and profs coming with us to CS Games. What's the daily hotel rate for them?
Anyone accompanying your team can pay the registration fee, which includes the meals, the hotel, and the CS Games memorabilia! They would be sharing the rooms with the rest of the team members. However, if they wish to have a private room, an additional 125$ will apply to any extra individual rooms booked.

I don't sleep well with people snoring in the next bed! Can I get my own private room?
We completely understand that you need your rest after a long competition day! We can arrange to book a private room for you; however, this will be at your own cost.

Can you give me any hotel information?
You'll be staying at the Delta Hotel. Parking is 21$ per day (taxes included) with unlimited in-and-out privileges. There is an internet service available, but it's not free and it must be requested from the front desk. An early check-in time is possible, so please get in touch with us if you need to request it, or set up any other special arrangements. There is a damage deposit of 50$ per room that is collected by the hotel upon the team's arrival. There is also a business centre with computers, free high-speed internet, and other services.

How can I help / volunteer / sponsor CS Games / give you money?
Contact us! More information about sponsorship can be found here. We appreciate the support!

How can I pay the registration fees?
Make a cheque to the attention of CS Games 2007. Then, send the cheque to the following address:

       CS Games 2007
       C/O School of Computer Science
       3480 University Street
       McConnell Engineering Building, Room 318
       Montreal, Quebec, Canada
       H3A 2A7

I'm from Montreal / don't need a hotel room. Can I get a reduced price?
The registration fees cover essentials such as meals, t-shirt, mug, and other costs of the games. So unfortunately, there is no reduced price in such a situation. But hey! You can help us save money! If few people in your team need a hotel room, let us know, and we'll cut down on unnecessary spending. Just email us at info@csgames.org.

How do I update /remove my email address on the CS Games Mailing list? / I can't make it this year; can I get myself on the mailing list for next year?
The email list is passed around and updated yearly, so just contact us and we'll be happy to update your info.

    Can grad students participate?
Graduate students are strictly disallowed from participating in ANY of the competitions listed on the CS games schedule; this includes the daily challenges (such as problem of the day, problem of the night), the group games, etc. IDs will be checked at registration. However, grad students are more than welcome to join as cheerleaders, supporters, or coaches! If we find out that they have been participating in competitions, the team will be disqualified.
